My name is Matt Driscoll, and I’m an artist and co-owner of 9th Realm Gallery. Im originally from a small town called lake Elsinore in Southern California. In 2006 I started tattooing at 19 in my home town, learning through a very traditional apprenticeship that got me established with the fundamentals of the craft.

 

Over the years, I started painting and studying various forms of art. It helped me develope a versatile tattooing style that covers both, black and gray or vibrant full color. My work spans new school, realism, and neo-traditional styles, with a strong emphasis on dynamic composition and artistic flow. As a nature nerd I’m especially drawn to nature as a subject—plants, insects, and creatures are constant sources of inspiration in my designs. Although I'm always looking for challenging new ideas constantly.

 

I specialize in large-scale projects, where I can really lean into fluidity and cohesiveness to create pieces that move with the body and tell a story. Whether it's a full sleeve, a back piece, or a custom concept, I’m all about bringing a client’s vision to life in a bold, thoughtful, and highly personalized way.

 

Tattooing is my life. It’s a passion based in respect for the craft, a deep love of art, and a commitment to pushing creative boundaries with every piece I create.
